Introduction
In trying to do something more than worry and make donations to Haiti (which we urge you all to do), we have put together this Wiki for post crisis management support to MFIs in Haiti.The intention of the Wiki is to offer the global microfinance community a venue to collectively support Haitian microfinance institutions, their managers, employees and clients with the very best post crisis management intelligence in a single easy to access place.
The specific objectives of the Wiki are:
- Provide information to managers on the ground about management options, needs, etc. for immediate post crisis management (1-3 months)
- Provide case study anecdotes and tips from real post crisis management experiences
- Provide a on line information bank for post crisis MFI management
What Specific Information is Sought?
To begin, there are five basic areas on the Wiki:- Immediate Post Crisis Management Strategy Information (car transport
, vending machine
)
- Operational Tips for Staff and Clients (essays
)
- Case Studies and Anecdotes from Other Crisis(otimização de sites
, acompanhantes
)
- Literature Reviews by certified resume writers
- Questions and Answers Section| (desentupidora
, relogio de ponto
)
- Thoughts on how to get information onto the ground?(lampadas
and transportadora
)
Who Should Provide Information?
The Wiki is open to all. Ideally, however, contributors are practitioners with deep and first hand knowledge of post crisis management.That said and because many MFI practitioners have probing minds and deep theoretical knowledge, the Wiki is open to great ideas and or questions. Please be circumspect and respectful of the objective of the Wiki if posting knowledge that is not from first hand post crisis management knowledge or credible research.
Please note the Wiki is not a forum for discussion. Rather it is a place to concentrate serious, tested MFI crisis management advice.
For discussion and debate, which are equally important, we urge you to take up conversations in the Microfinance practitioner list serve.
